About the event

Night Out With (NOW) series features opportunities to hear cultural stories from community leaders. An evening filled with history and delicious local food inspired by the presentation. The primary goal is to build a bridge between the past and future in our historic communities.

We will began the series on November 22nd with the history of Antonio’s Bar and the opportunity to view the latest renovation project from Southwest Urban. Antonio’s Bar was an old watering-hole in South Tucson on 4th Avenue. Situated in a quiet area with a mix of residential and commercial properties, the location is south of American Eat Co.

The second part of the series will take place on December 13th with the history of 2318 South 4th Avenue and street photography by Scott Griessel. Featuring a presentation by local photographer, Alex Casares.

Scott Griessel has 30 years experience writing, producing, directing and photographing. He was a partner in a creative agency with blue-chip international clients before starting the company with his wife, Anna, that became Creatista in 2000. Anna is an experienced producer and production manager with a creative spirit complementing her formidable organizational skills. Together Scott and Anna have spent more than 20 years growing and molding their company into today’s Creatista.

Alex Casares’ chosen genre in photography is Street Photography and Documentary Photography; though he personally feels they are one in the same. He loves documenting his life experiences with his camera (a day with his family, a walk with his wife, a stroll down a busy street, a day at work, a parade or festival) no matter what the day has in store he wants to capture that moment in time with an artistic style and create a photograph he can be proud of.
