Committed to philanthropy, Katina and her family dedicate their efforts to many notable Tucson non-profit causes in addition to her Board service with Literacy Connects, Youth On Their Own and StartUp Tucson. Katina serves on the Board of ATL, a privately-held international manufacturing company based in Utah. Katina also volunteers for IdeaFunding within StartUp Tucson’s entrepreneurial ecosystem that participates in the annual Impact Festival known as TENWEST. As a Commercialization Partner with the University of Arizona: Tech Launch Arizona and an I-Corps Business Mentor thru the National Science Foundation program, Katina continues her mission-driven theme.
Katina holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire and demonstrates her commitment to continuous improvement through her executive education pursuits at the University of Minnesota, Carlson School of Management and the Project Management Institute. Building on improvement and service, Katina is a Licensed Entrepreneurial Operating System Implementer. She works with a variety of companies in the fields of service, product, technology, manufacturing and non-profits. Katina also facilitates peer advisory groups on the Chief Executive and Key Executive levels as a Vistage Chair and Strategic Advisor.
More recently, Katina and her business partner and co-founder Gina Catalano have successfully launched Anexo Works & Events. A closely-knit coworking space located in Barrio Viejo, a celebrated historic neighborhood adjacent to downtown Tucson. Their sister site, a 100 year-old adobe named La Suprema Works & Events underwent significant transformation and celebrated its grand opening recently.
